” The Moose Jaw Warriors Hockey Club was able to utilize the Ozonation process that Barry Webster is developing in our community. During the rampant H1N1 flu season we used him a few times to make sure that our room, our equipment and our staff offices were as healthy as possible. and didn’t have any confirmed cases of the H1N1 virus. The hockey smell has also been virtually eliminated and the air purity and bacteria levels of several strains of bacteria has been reduced dramatically.
The Moose Jaw Warriors and Barry Webster from 4A Home Inspections have used the Warriors dressing room to try out 2 different kinds of Ozone generators to develop an efficient and adequate exposure time to treat our dressing rooms and equipment.
In closing we have had no adverse health or physical effects from having either form of Ozone treatment in our dressing room or on our equipment. We would recommend this process to anyone in sport as a safe and effective way to keep things as healthy and clean as is possible in the sport enviroment. ” To Whom It May Concern: It is without hesitation that I acknowledge how fortunate Athol Murray College Of Notre Dame has been to be a part of an air treatment process through Barry Webster and Moose Jaw 4A Home Inspections. The process utilizes UV Ozonation to eliminate or minimize the effects of bacteria, mold and viruses through a series of treatments to confined areas. We have started this process within our Junior A and Female AAA dressing rooms along with our Hockey Office. Our desire is to expand the use of this process to all dressing rooms, training areas, school rooms and residential buildings in the future.
Barry started the process just after the H1N1 virus had adversely affected out campus and I feel that this procedure helped to purify the dressing rooms and reduce the spread of viral or bacteria related inflictions. The procedure eliminated the typical strong odour commonly associated with dressing rooms and independent labratory tests came back indicating that our dressing room air was “equivalent to outside air” following the initial treatment. The only challenge that we experienced during the process was a slight, temporary stretching of elastic strapping on equipment after the original shock treatment, which then returned to normal elasticity within 1-2 days.
Our experience with the Ozonation treatment that was administered in our facilities has been favourable. By reducing the strong odour along with bacteria, mold and viruses commonly associated with illness and infections. We feel that air treatment is a necessary step in caring for our student athletes. Although I am under no illusions that air treatment will give our students immunity from illness or infections. I feel it is a neccessary preventative measure to provide our Hounds with a healthy, clean enviroment to excel in. ”

Many athletes are affected by an illness during the peak time of their sport, and this has been linked back to the bacteria found on the equipment and in the locker room.
